2011-12 Concert Season

Welcome!

The experience of a live performance can be a powerful catalyst. It can nourish the soul, spark the imagination of a young musician to push the boundaries of excellence, ignite the creative spirit of an individual to pick up an instrument for the very first time, or rekindle a passion for music that has sat idle for far too long.

For over eighty years, the Music Institute of Chicago has been enriching the lives of our students and the community we serve. The 2011-2012 concert season is full of opportunities to be inspired by the best in live music, from some of the newest emerging artists on the scene to some of the most established artists of our time.

Season highlights include appearances by Paquito D'RIvera, Meng-Chieh Liu, Conrad Tao, the Brotherhood Chorale, and members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

From our engaging free family concerts to the acclaimed and thought-provoking Four Score Festival, MIC presents a full array of programs that promise to entertain, inspire, and educate.

Happy listening!
